Sure but: PID can cause pain that radiates anywhere but the pain with PID is eerily quite severe and located in the lower abdomen. A pelvic exam is done and most of time the diagnosis can be easily made. Most patients with PID can not tolerate the exam because touching the uterus is very painful. An Obgyn should be able to diagnosis or exclude PID for you very easily.
