My kid has a lot of eye discharge after waking up in the morning, so much so that eye lids are stuck together?

Conjunctivitis: Eye discharge, especially when associated with crusting, is often due to infection of the conjunctiva or sinuses. Both of these conditions are treatable with prescription medications.

Take him to his: Pediatrician. It sounds like possible conjunctivitis. Some cases are related to bacteria, and require prescription antibiotic ointment or drops.
