Not normal: Having very heavy periods that last for 12 days & occur every 26 days is not normal but is common with fibroids which increase the surface area of the uterine cavity causing more lining to slough off with your period and can disrupt blood flow & hormone exposure to parts of ur uterus.There r many treatments now for fibroids.Discuss this with ur doctor since the fibroids will continue to grow.
