LOSS of lordosis..: ..is the problem. A slight curve of the neck (a C facing backwards) is normal; it helps the neck bear the weight of the head. Sometimes this curve becomes straightened, usually as the result of trauma or poor posture causing neck spasm. Long hours working at a desk/computer contribute. Treatment only needed if painful (pain killers/muscle relaxers); PT exercises strengthen/improve posture:)

Options: Typically the options are anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxants, and physical therapy. Anything further such as injections or surgery would only be considered under severe circumstances.

None: The "normal" cervical spine has some backward curvature or lordosis. However, it is a fact that some persons normal radiographic profile does not have the typical "normal" lordosis . There is no treatment for this lack of lordosis. As we degenerate we will all lose some lodosis in the neck and low back secondary to loss of disk height. Sometimes this loss can be treated with spinal surgery.
