A member asked:

Had endarterectomy both right and left 2 years later had a tia 1 year ago put on clopidogrel how long should i take this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

INDEFINITELY: You are clearly at risk of a stroke, and there may well be underlying risk factors such as pre-diabetes, elevated triglycerides or homocysteine, even imbalance in fatty acids, etc. Clopidigrel is wise, but stop Aspirin, as the combination raises risk of brain hemorrhage. You could better consider Aggrenox which contains ASA, and protects better.
