Yes: Constipation can cause a variety of deadly illnesses--especially colon cancer. Bile acids break down into potent carcinogens if transit time is more than 24 hours, bathing the colon and intestines with cancer-causing poison. Keep your bowels moving regularly, and avoid colon cancer. I recommend several tablespoons of psyllium husks/day, in several glasses of water. Magnesium to Bowel Tolerance
