See below: A strong blow to the abdomen can bruise the abdominal muscles and other tissues of the abdominal wall and may cause bleeding(hematoma). It's also possible, but less likely that an internal organ would be bruised. If the pain continues or gets worse you need to see a physician. If the area is tender to light touch it's likely the abdominal wall.
