Dry cough for about 8 months, coughing up a whit foamy mess everyday, short of breath and wheezing?

Dry cough: I always wonder about medication side effect esp ACE inhibitor, when someone reports dry cough. Allergies & acid reflux can also do this. But if short of breath & wheezing, we start wondering about asthma & COPD (emphysema) since that cough could be an attempt to get air out while wheezing represents difficulty getting air in. Best to see your Family Doc for complete evaluation.
