Speak with your doct: If doxycycline is not helping after 2 wks you need to follow up with your dermatologist. There a lot other options particularly local creams & gels.

Acne vulgaris: Doxycycline is used for acne no for its anti-bacterial but for its anti-inflammatory properties. Give it a couple more weeks. Minocycline works well too.
