Hi i had surgery 2 weeks in a row and had an iv in my left hand. the vein behind the iv sight is raised and hurts. plz help me?

Some possibilites: cannot say in your particular case without seeing it AND any cutting will produce scarring. More severe issues include scarring so bad the vein collapses (not as bad as it sounds) and local infection (can be pretty bad).
