Symptoms: Swelling & pain are two signs that you might be infected. If you feel you have a problem following the extractions, call your surgeon.

A few indicators: You may have a discharge from the area which is bitter and may smell bad. Pain beyond the regular soreness from healing tissue. Swelling beyond the immediate area, sometimes with increased redness. Fever. See your Oral Surgeon for follow-up examination ASAP if you are having any of these or if you are just unsure . Good Luck.

Infected?: Assuming you are following your specialist Oral Surgeon's written instructions, after 2 days if you have unremitting pain, bleeding, bad taste, fever, redness, swelling, call the Oral Surgeon for a reevaluation.
