A member asked:

I recently was told i am starting menopause. i hadn't a period since 10/13. now for the past 3 months i've had a period. can you explain that?

Yes: Menopause rarely happens with perfect timing. Generally, cycles get closer together for some years and then they start to spread out further. It is not at all uncommon to stop cycling for some months and then start again. The cycles may be regular for several months and then stop again. Anything goes. In time cycles will end for good. Don't forget to get help with Estrogen. You are young!
