If i have migraine syndrome& decide to take med like topamax/depakote, will i have to be on it forever, or can it break the migraine cycle&then stop?

It depends: The fact is like a lot of other conditions, once you have it, you will always be prone to it. This is no different. Once a migraine sufferer, always a migraine sufferer. some do have periods of remissions, but it is hard to predict whom and when will go into remission. Men by nature don't suffer from migraines as much as women and when they do have them, they are not as intense or frequent.
