Rh exposure: Exposure to Rh positive blood can produce an immune response and the development of antibodies directed at the Rh antigen. In non-pregnant individuals, this causes no significant problem,, aside from the potential hemolytic reaction if they receive Rh-positive blood again. But blood banks test for this and should easily avoid it. In a woman who may become pregnant, harm to the baby can result.
