A member asked:

How effective is nitroglycerin (nitro-bid) for treating coronary artery disease (cad)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Good but: Nitroglycerin is a short acting medication used to dilate blood vessels. This helps to relieve symptoms of angina. Nitroglycerin does not treat the blockage of heart disease. You should see your doctor if you are having episodes of angina. Good luck.
