How effective is pravastatin (pravachol) for treating coronary artery disease (cad)?

Effective but...: Pravachol (pravastatin) below to the class of lipid lowering agents called Statins. Statins are effective in preventing heart disease, but a big component of effectiveness is in lowering inflammation and not just treating cholesterol.
