Pain in or around...: Pain in or around your joints, tendons or ligaments. Arthritis can be inflammatory , degenerative, or both. With inflammation you frequently feel the affected joint is warm and may be swollen. Pain that increases with joint use suggests more a mechanical componet, while pain present with immobility more oft suggests inflammation. See a rheumatologist if you feel you have arthritis.
