Feldene (piroxicam) and kids: It is not recommended for use under age 12. That being said, it is sometimes used for juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, but more so in the teen years. There are plenty of other NSAIDs that can be used in the under 12 group, so I'd steer clear of it except in very specific circumstances discussed with my pediatric rheumatologist, and NO ONE else.
