It is a type of Canc: Cancer cells can form glands or be flat epithelium, depending on which organ the cancer arises in. Squamous epithelium lines the mouth, throat and food pipe as well as Lung bronchi. Cancers arising in these types are often called Epidermoid or squamous cell -Cancer.
