It depends: If your husband's niece is in "isolation" at the hospital whereby any visitors are required to don masks and gowns, then no it is not safe for you to visit.

Depends: If she has reached the point in treatment where she is receiving visitors it may be okay. For it to effect your baby you would have to acquire a blood infection with the same germ. Meningococcal meningitis or blood infection would be the one likely to keep everyone in isolation & then only until she's been in treatment for a day or two. Her nursing staff will know if it is contagious at this point
