Likely no threat.: The fact that even an acute and more serious paronychia is quite painful, and warrants immediate treatment, a mild paronychia can occur and can typically be remedied by performing listerine soaks using a capful of listerine to a gallon of water x 5-10 min twice daily. This should be of no threat to your baby, but see your OB whenever in doubt.
