Injury: Most bruises are due to injury. However, if you are getting more than one and it is happening in other spots at the same time, it could be a sign of a bleeding problem. Some injuries can cause bruising but you won't recall the injury for one reason or another.

See below: Hard to say without more history and examination. May have hit it without noticing it. Possible that foot slid in or pressed against shoe in activity. Maybe a may be a small vein that broke in skin. If this fails to resolve or worsens, see Podiatrist.
