Sex probably OK...: ...but something doesn't compute. UTIs are not sexually transmitted (even though sex sometimes can trigger UTI in women). There is no need for sex partners to be treated. Are you sure there wasn't an STD problem, like gonorrhea, chlamydia, or nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) in your partner? OTOH, cipro (ciprofloxacin) is not a good drug for any of these. Were you tested for STDs? Recheck with your doctor.
