A member asked:

My serum albumin is 5.3 is that to high? always was normal . is there any way to bring it down?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No need to: If you were dehydrated your albumin may seem high, even though yours is at the upper end of normal. If the tourniquet is left on for too long, it may cause a spurious high reading. There are no disease associated with high albumin. See this site for more info. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003480.htm
