Very much so: Chickenpox is the prime example of a very contagious germ. It can be passed through contact with saliva, ooze from blisters, through a cough, etc.. As little as 30 min in the same room with an active case is considered enough for a vulnerable person to get the disease. Most adults your age had access to a chickenpox vaccine, so you may be immune.
