Brain injury: is a cellular level problem and while recovering your brain will not make connections or function in a normal manner. With this symptom you need to be sure to rest both physically and mentally. Get lots of sleep and good nutrition, avoid anything that taxes your brain, even reading or using the computer can be a stress. You will get better over time.

Possible Deja vu: You seem to be describing a phenomenon which has been called Deja Vu. Sometimes it is a manifestation of temporal lobe seizures. Seizures are frequent sequel of head injury. See a neurologist. A therapeutic trial of antiepileptic drug could be helpful.
