A member asked:

Can you tell me the effects of suffering a tbi (traumatic brain injury) in combat?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: The effects of the tbi depends on the extent and severity and if any surgery needed to be done. In general, the recovery from a tbi suffered in combat is similar to the recovery process in the civilian situation. The importance of pt/ot/st-rehabiliataion services cannot be stressed enough. That is the key to recovery and re-integration.
