Is it normal for 900mg gabapentin (i now take this 3x/day for polyneuropathy) to make my throat feel numb and cause a lot of muscle spams in my arms, legs and face and also very quick sharp pains?

Not normal for sure.: I'll start by saying that the symptoms you describe are NOT normal ever, whether you're taking gabapentin or not. Gabapentin is supposed to treat painful conditions, not cause them. Based on the way it works, it isn't unikely to cause muscle spasms. Please inform your doctor about these symptoms.
