Needs confirmation : It means you have around 2 gm of protien in the urine which is very abnormal. This needs a confirmation by repeating the test and be sure you don't have other reason to explain it like UTI or blood in the urine. If confirmed, then needs comprehensive work up to determine the reason. Diabetes is very common one but there are multiple systemic and/or kidney diseases that could cuase it
