What is the formula to calculate urine protein creatinine ratio?

[protein]/[creat]: The concentration of protein divided by the concentration of creatinine. Make the units the same so that they will cancel out easily. This test estimates the amount of protein excreted daily assuming 1000mg creatinine excretion (in a normal person) daily.

See below: The protein-to-creatinine ratio is a calculated value. The amount of urine protein and creatinine in a single specimen is measured in the lab. Each value is expressed in milligrams per deciliter. The amount of protein is divided by the amount of creatinine.
