A member asked:

Is there any antidepressants that have similar affects as remeron (mirtazapine) ? as far as a sleep aid i take it for sleep but wanna change it's to strong?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably: From what you say, mirtazapine is too "strong," that is, it makes you too sleepy, or makes you sleep for too long. Other antidepressants that are used for sleep include trazodone, nefazodone, doxepin, and amitriptyline. You might consider that a dose adjustment could solve your problem.
