Not unexpected: Experiencing an illness often affects one's menstrual cycle. Either the disease process itself or the medications used to treat it (in this case possibly steroids which are common interferers with menses). Even if you skipped an entire month it wouldn't really be considered abnormal. One caution: if desired, be sure your contraception is reliable. With missed/late periods, can't predict ovulation.
