A member asked:

I often have seizures when i write on pen and paper. is this normal? should i be concerned about it? it really interferes with my schooling.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: you should be concerned. There are many possibilities ranging from scotopic sensitivity to undercontrolled epilepsy. Please see your doctor and have a thorough evaluation as well as a referral back to your Neurologist. Be sure to bring a detailed description of your symptoms. It may be as simple as adjusting your medication. It may be necessary for you to have an alternative way to do written work: oral exams, dictated reports, etc.
