Sometimes but rare: An US at 19 weeks is rarely wrong but there are exceptions. Follow up with another US in 4-5 weeks, specifically to look at gender. All the best and remember the important information is that you have a healthy baby regardless of sex.

Yes: Mr turtle must come out to play before it can be detected by ultrasound. I advise parents not to paint babier room in colors defined by any ultrasound, as surprises do happen.If Mr turtle is detected, it is seldom wrong.
