A member asked:

Please advise about the treatment of transcobalamin ii deficiency? is there any medication to support insuficiently produced transcobalamin? thank you

A doctor has provided 1 answer

B 12 injection: If you are deficient in B 12 it is likely to be due to problems with absorption of the vitamin. The only sure way to replace it is by injection of B12, at a minimum of 1000microgrms every three months. Your doctor may try a higher dose or more frequent injection.
