Neuropathic Pain: Have you had a nerve conduction study or EMG? Was there a rash there several years ago? I'm wondering if this could possibly be a post-herpetic neuralgia. If there is a history of shingles on that body part, this could be the underlying cause. Consider seeing a Neurologist and/or a Pain specialist and maybe a podiatrist. The origin of the pain could be your foot.
