No beard to scalp : The beard and scalp have completely different types of hair, and beard hair is not suitable for the scalp. Also, scars are left in the hair donor site. Even if the beard was a suitable donor site, you would not want to have these scars on the face. Donor hair should be taken from the back of the head where the hair density is sufficient. I use the Neograft technique, which leaves no linear scars.
