Reasons to gray: Early. 1. Genetics. 2. Age 3. Stressors. The age of initial graying is largely a matter of genetics. However stressors such as nutritional deficiencies, traumatic head injuries, low vitamin B levels, zinc deficiency, severe illness, surgery and marked emotional stress may impact earlier depigmentation in people who are already predisposed to gray hair. In general – genetics plays the biggest role.

Likely ...: While stress has long thought to be a cause, research seems to suggest not so much. In all likelihood it is genetic for you. It's not uncommon in Caucasian men to see some white hair in the 30s. You may want to talk to your primary care doctor as some thyroid and pituitary issues can cause this but if it's just a few hairs here and there that's unlikely too. Vit B12 deficiencyccan contribute too
