I had morphine yrs ago. it stopped my lungs. i was just given tylenol (acetaminophen) 4. i took them not knowing it turns into morphine. i'm ok, how is that possible?

A thought..: .. Morphine acts to suppress the respiratory center of the brain. Another common side effect is histamine release by mast cells causing an itchy rash. I suspect the lung problem was related to the first side effect, the amount of narcotics you received at that time, and your illness. If there is a question, see Allergist, but your description is not classic for an allergy. Notify the doc, too
