About six weeks. : An abdominal hysterectomy will usually take about six weeks to recover from compared to around two weeks for a minimally invasive hysterectomy. The less invasive the procedure the quicker the recovery. Nearly all hysterectomies can be performed using a minimally invasive technique. Hope this helps.
