Black eye: It is difficult to provide you with a meaningful answer not knowing how you got the black eye. It would be best to see an ophthalmologist who can address your concerns.

I am not surprised. : The tissue around the eyes is very delicate and is prone to discoloration with stress and trauma. But what you see outwardly with a black eye serves as an indicator of the strain that has taken place inwardly with your eye globe, it's nerves and muscles, and deeper structures such as the brain and meninges. Not surprising that you have a "bit of a headache." Rest. If symptoms worsen, return to ER!

Needs reevaluation: you should go back to preferably your own doctor or go back to ER you may need additional tests and eye examination for any injury
