A member asked:

I have a 101 degree fever. will taking ibuprofen make it last longer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Dan Fisher answered

No.: Ibuprofen may reduce your fever but it will not generally affect the outcome of the illness. Fever generally comes back as soon as the ibuprofen wears off.
