Cause?: So she had a bleeding source somewhere in her digestive tract to be bleeding into her stool. What was the pathology? In other words, what was the precise cause? That will determine if it's likely to recur. Without more information, it's anyone's guess.

GI bleed: hard to know if there will not be another episode of bleeding unless a colonoscopy or gastroscopy is performed to find the cause and treat it or if the bleeding was due to medication and the culprit medication is stopped, it is possible to be a one time deal but the reason for the bleeding need to be investigated
