A member asked:

One doctor said i was slightly anemic and asked for stool sample, there was no blood loss. another doctor seen my bloodwork and said i wasn't anemic at all. is anemia always due to blood loss? or can it be due to my diet (hardly eating anything)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Anemia in an adult male warrants exclusion of bleeding in the intestine. Both bleeding and poor diet, can together or individually result in anemia. You did not say what your hemoglobin level is and what is the serum ferritin level? For nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/.
