Evaluation: Chemical burns from use of relaxers for hair straightening are not unusual. The treatment really depends on the extent of the burn and the type of symptoms you are having. Application of a topical antibiotic helps prevent the development of a secondary infection but you should see your physician to determine if any other treatment is needed.
