Needs further workup: A nodular density seen on only a single view of a mammogram (referred to as an asymmetry) requires additional workup, such as extra views with more compression or at different angles, and possibly ultrasound. A nodular density can be normal tissue, a cyst, a tumor, or other. It should not be ignored.
