Costal cartlidge : Sounds like maybe the junction at the bony and cartilaginous portion if the ribs partially disconnected. This wouldn't necessarily show up on an X-ray. If you're worried, see your primary care. Generally no treatment for something one this. You may want to ask your doctor why it happened. Hope this helps!
