More info needed: Thanks for your question! It's possible you may have done some damage to the deeper structures. You would benefit from clinical assessment by your doc if your symptoms don't improve.

Expect healing if ..: Female hit middle finger a week ago, right above the bottom knuckle and it was bruised at first. No bruise now, but pain still present. If no limitation of motion in affected finger and if can use hand freely, expect gradual healing and decreasing pain. But if pain stays unchanged or gets worse check with MD for evaluation
