Get your stopwatch : It is common for infants to have irregular breathing patterns. This is called "periodic breathing," characterized by a series of quick breaths in between longer breaths, even with moments of no breathing. Clinically significant "apnea" in this age would be at least 15-20 seconds, and should be evaluated. What you observe is likely normal, but if she is truly apneic by the clock, go see her doc!

Mgt: She may have nasal congestion secondary to a number of causes and exposures, including viral illness, irritant exposure. I would suggest infant nasal drops and gentle suction to clear nasal passages and trying a cool air mist humidifier. In addition, avoid feeding her on her back, she should be fed at an angle. I agree that timing her apnea is important and please follow up with your PCP.
