Aleve (naproxen) for Knee pain: Is Aleve (naproxen) working for his pain? Does your husband have any history of kidney problems? Any blood pressure issues? Any GI- stomach issues? If no to all of these questions, he should be safe to take Aleve (naproxen) with food as stated 220mg bid. Has he tried OTC topical meds ( biofreeze, aspercreme, salonpas)? Since symptoms are localized, topical may help him even better than Aleve (naproxen) + have less side effects.

Yes: Thanks for your question! Yes, he can continue to take Aleve (naproxen) for his knee pain. If it starts to irritate his stomach, he should take it with food. Hope he feels better soon!
